Privacy Policy
APEX Trading Journal ("APEX", "we") helps traders log and review their trades. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Your journal: the trades, notes, playbooks, rules and balance information you enter or import.
- Questions you ask APEX Coach (only if AI coaching is switched on): your question and a summary of your journal numbers are sent to our AI provider to write the answer. APEX does not store them on its servers; your chat history stays in your browser.
- Screenshots you choose to scan (only if scanning is switched on): the image is sent to our AI provider to read the trade details and is not stored by APEX.
- Basic technical data such as your browser type and IP address, kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your journal back to you.
- To keep APEX secure and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account, such as password resets.
We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
Who processes it
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Google (Gemini), Groq, OpenRouter or Anthropic: only for AI features you use (screenshot scanning, APEX Coach).
These providers may store data outside the Philippines, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your privacy and security
- Your money is never touched. APEX never asks for exchange logins, API keys or wallet access, so it cannot trade or withdraw for you.
- Locked to your account. Database rules (row-level security) let each user read and change only their own journal. You can test this yourself in Settings → Privacy & security → Run a safety check.
- Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and stored scrambled (hashed). Nobody can read them, including us.
- Encrypted connection. APEX only loads over HTTPS, and the site blocks scripts from unknown websites.
- We don't look at your journal. The APEX team does not open user journals, except to help you when you ask us to.
Your rights
You can view, download (Settings → Your data → Download backup), correct or delete your information. To delete your account and all its data yourself, go to Settings → Your data → Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm. It happens immediately and can't be undone. You can also email us from your account email and we'll do it within 30 days.
How long we keep data
Your journal is kept for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your journal and AI usage log are deleted at the same moment. Our hosting providers may keep encrypted backups for a short time before they expire.
Children
APEX is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app for important changes.
